儒林社区位于佛山市南海区九江镇的中心城区，是九江传统的居住中心，由原来的儒林、太平两个社区合并而成。[1] 社区名取自村前的「儒林首第」牌坊。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

两个社区合并后，2014年7月，原先两处办公点迁到儒林东路48号（旧九江影剧院），合署办公。[2]

地理环境[edit]

社区处在一条河的两岸，东面是上东社区，南面是南方社区，西面是下西社区，北面是下北社区，与下西步行街、下北商业步行街相接。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

辖区内有吴家大院、三元桥等古迹。此外有九江镇中心小学、儒林第一小学、南海区第九人民医院、九江镇文化艺术中心、红棉公园等设施。[2]

文化[edit]

社区曾获全国综合减灾示范社区、广东省科普示范社区、广东省「六好」平安和谐社区等称号，并在2012年通过南海区「创文」首批试点示范项目的验收。[2]
