村头村是佛山市禅城区张槎街道所辖的行政村，在街道西部，东南接大富村，西靠沙口水闸，北隔河与南海区罗村的郎沙村相望。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

据百度百科，村子在南宋末年建立，因地处河道上游而叫村头。[3] 村头在人民公社时期设为大队（1958年）；1983年底改建乡，1987年起归张槎镇管辖，改称村民委员会，1989年一度叫管理区，1999年恢复村委会之名；2002年12月随张槎镇划入禅城区，2003年9月改由张槎街道管辖。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域占地约900亩，下辖东区、中区、西区3个村民小组。[1][3] 村西侧是佛山古火山遗址王借岗，曾设采石场，现划为生态保护区。[3]

人口民族[edit]

博雅地名网记外来人口2000多人，常住人口近1600人（均未注明年份）；百度百科记户籍人口约1758人，以冯、区两姓为主。[2][3]

经济[edit]

村集体靠物业和个体私营企业取得收入，物业有东区农贸综合市场，以及外沙、坦田两个工业区，有中小型企业一百多家、商铺三十多家。[2] 近年经「三旧」改造建成宏丰、平阳等工业园，第二、三产业占比超过八成。[3]

百度百科列出村内现存的冯氏宗祠、赠君区公祠等历史建筑。[3]

文化[edit]

2022年1月，村头村被列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2024年8月入选佛山市「百千万工程」第二批典型镇村，2026年1月获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
