胪岗社区是汕头市潮南区胪岗镇的镇驻地社区，位于镇的东南部，东接潮阳区和平镇，324国道和和惠公路都经过这里。[1] 2013年底总人口3551户、21528人，是全镇人口最多的社区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区名来自早年的村名：这里地处水边，长满芦苇，又有山岗（今龟山），先叫芦岗，宋绍兴年间（1131—1162年）改称胪岗。[2][1] 据博雅地名网，村子始创于唐光启年间（885—888年）。[2]

明、清到民国初年属潮阳县峡山都，1921年起为潮阳县第四区辖地；1950年属胪泗乡，此后曾称胪岗大队、胪岗乡，1986年起设居委会，其间一度称胪岗管理区。[2]

人口民族[edit]

辖区有4个自然村，居民以吴、吕、周、马、郑、陈等姓为主，是侨乡。[1]

经济[edit]

当地世代务农，种水稻、甘薯、生柑，是潮州柑的产地；家庭手工业以纺织、刺绣为主。近年来服装、纺织和化妆品企业增多，社区内大中小企业近百家，「雅娜」「新一系」「绿梦」「芬格兰」等是省内外知名的商标。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

当地把本地古迹概括为十景，说法是「三山洪照、六湖生辉、九井甘泉、七板仙桥、蝴蝶扑花、双鲤戏珠、娘仔梳妆、石塔古寺、开基祖墓」；常用的简称是「三山六湖九古井，七板仙桥石塔寺，开基祖墓存浩气」。[1]

著名人物[edit]

据博雅地名网所记，宋代吕辉卿曾任宰相，吕厝社祖祠至今留有「家宰垂芳」匾；民国时期有留学德国的吴仲谋、黄埔军校毕业的吴克白，以及周鉴梅（潮汕会馆主席）、吴耀如（潮汕商会会长）等。[1]
