家美社区是汕头市潮南区成田镇下辖的社区，成田镇人民政府驻在此地。[1]社区由家一、家二、家三三个自然村组成，是成田镇人口第二大的村级单位，也是老区村和侨乡。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

家一在古时位于溪流的末端，称“溪尾”；家二、家三的先人从家一分出，在其下方另立村落，称“下家”。1951年取“下家”“溪尾”的谐音，改名家美。[1][2]马姓先人是马长安的后裔，宋末从兴仁乡米场迁来；高姓是高觉明的后裔，明永乐二十二年（1424年）从峡山都下寨迁来。[2]

1950年称家美乡，1958年为家美大队，1987年3月改为居委会。[1]

人口民族[edit]

经济[edit]

农业种水稻、甘薯和生柑，工业以织袜、印刷为主，社区有30多家袜厂，是成田镇的工业大村。[2]2019年9月，家美社区进入广东省2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建名单。[1]

著名人物[edit]

曾任泰国内务部长、财政部长和总理的马德祥，泰国内务部副部长马裕炎，香港佳宁娜集团董事局主席马介璋，以及腾讯公司创办人马化腾，都出自该社区。[2]
