历史沿革[edit]
清康熙四十年（1701年），陈衷一、陈乐一从揭阳土尾迁来，定居在盐汀溪下端东侧，起初叫下盐汀村，后改称东盐汀，今称东盐。[1]
经济[edit]
据博雅地名网，村人口1747人（未注明年份），农业种生柑、水稻、甘薯和芥菜。2003年以来，村里筹资近300万元，修通往和惠公路的2公里水泥村道，建了东盐小学，并成立教育促进会。[1]
