历史沿革[edit]
村创于元大德五年（1301年），因村后有一片宽阔的平地而名后坪。[1][2]民国时期属潮阳县第七区的蓝堡乡；新中国成立初归流陂乡，人民公社化后叫后坪大队，1987年3月起设村委会。[2]
人口民族[edit]
据博雅地名网，全村1878人、265户，山地5500亩（该页未注明年份）。[1]
经济[edit]
农业种水稻、薯类和豆类，工副业以石料加工为主。山上出油麻石，用它雕成的石臼昔时销往东南亚和港澳，1984年送广州交易会展销，是成田的特产。[1]
著名人物[edit]
革命烈士、石匠翁千是该村人，他曾在三蛤水刻下一个农民协会的犁标志，旁边立有碑石，写着“革命文物，注意保存”。[1]
