华西村是汕头市潮南区成田镇下辖的行政村，东与陇田镇华瑶村为邻，南连简朴村，西、北接田中央社区。^[1]村民姓王，因在华瑶村之西立村，故名华西。^[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明正德年间（1506年至1521年），王大纲的后裔王琬从峡山都上田池（今陇田镇华瑶村）迁来立村。^[2]20世纪80年代起村名一度改作西宅，直到2006年10月潮南区政府同意复用华西旧名。^[1]^[2]

据博雅地名网，全村人口3184人、560户，山地2000多亩，港澳台同胞近1万人（该页未注明年份）。^[1]^[2]

农业种水稻、香蕉、生柑和蔬菜，工副业以织袜和塑料制品为主。2004年，村里集资220多万元改造自来水管网，从沙陇五沟水库引水，次年春节前通水。^[2]

村里设有老龄人活动中心和潮州笛套音乐队，2006年成立教育促进会，用社会捐款奖教奖学。^[2]

王道（国民革命军少将，曾任第一集团军一军一师师长）和王志民（泰国「中国和平统一促进会」会长）是该村人。^[2]
