西岐村是汕头市潮南区成田镇下辖的行政村，东接深沟村，南连家美社区，西与胪岗镇港头村毗邻，北与上盐村和潮阳区和平镇新龙村相连。^[1]据博雅地名网，村人口15802人（该页未注明年份）。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明永乐二十二年（1424年），黄姓先人迁来立村，因在竹林岔口，初称黄竹岐；民国初期多个姓氏杂居，加上村西有水流，改名西岐。^[1]^[2]

村里有黄、刘、陈、洪、孙、蔡、许、庄、杨等姓，黄、刘、陈三姓居多。黄姓是黄峭山后裔，明代迁来；刘姓是刘仪的后裔刘万辖，明代自福建石尾岐迁来；陈姓是陈仕颖后裔，明初从新兴乡迁来。为修水库，原住山区“红口輋”的16户、107人迁到本村。^[2]

农业以水稻和生柑为主，兼有养殖业，村里有区级农业龙头企业潮南区优稀特水果园和振发三苗良种场。工业有床上用品、塑料制品、服装、印刷、文具，“皇威”商标是广东省著名商标。^[2]

民间舞蹈“西岐英歌”在当地有名。村分六个工作片区，其中“溪南”片区创于明成化年间，因在一条溪河的南岸得名。^[2]
