永兴社区在汕头老城区，隶属金平区小公园街道，设立时归永祥街道。辖区面积约0.1平方千米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

辖区商家盼望生意长久兴旺，因以此为名。[1]

2002年，原永兴、永胜、永顺三个居委会合并为永兴居委会；2003年3月后归金平区永祥街道。[1]2019年，新福、永祥、海安、同益四个街道并入新设的小公园街道，社区随之改隶。[2]

原永祥街道办事处曾设在本社区。辖区以小商品经营为主，内有商平小学，主干道为商平路和安平路。[1]
