历史沿革[edit]
牛皮塘乡成立于1949年。1958年，村中分出横岗头大队，原来的单位改称牛皮塘大队。八十年代起依次称乡、村民委员会、管理区；1998年10月，恩平市人民政府批准恢复村民委员会之名，一直用到现在。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
据村里的介绍，全村299户、约1000人，总面积3500亩，耕地2103亩。[1]村民集中种植红江橙，形成500亩的种植基地；红江橙获“江门市十优农产品”称号，并注册了“锦江”红橙商标。[1]2008年，集体经济收入约2万元（20130元），人均纯收入2300元。[1]
牛皮塘农会旧址[edit]
牛皮塘农会成立于1926年7月前后，会址在当时的均和乡牛皮塘村迥龙里的“灯寮”，负责人为郑贵彩、郑超凡。[2]它是恩平继长安农会之后成立的第二批农会之一。[2]旧址建于1917年，为青砖、灰沙、杉木结构，占地65.52平方米，上世纪八十年代拆毁重建；1983年6月被恩平县人民政府公布为「县级文物保护单位」。[2]地址一栏写作“东成镇回龙里村”。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2024年3月牛皮塘村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」；2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
