龙华街道是广东省汕头市龙湖区下辖的街道，辖区原属外砂镇，现管辖华新、华埠、凤美、龙头、下蔡、凤窖、南社、大衙8个行政村，街道办事处在汕汾路与外砂迎宾路相交处往西南约160米[1]。深圳市龙华区另有一个同名的龙华街道，与这里无关。

历史沿革[edit]

街道所辖各村在行政上长期随外砂一带变动：明代嘉靖年间，凤窖一带属澄海县蓬洲都；民国时属澄海县上蓬区；1958年并入外砂人民公社，1984年属外砂区，1986年属外砂镇[2]。2003年3月，汕头市调整区划，澄海的外砂、新溪两镇改隶龙湖区；2019年4月21日，外砂镇被撤销，原地设外砂街道[3]；凤美村的资料则记载，该村在2019年的区划调整中先后归属外砂街道和龙华街道[4]。这里所用的资料没有给出龙华街道正式设立的具体日期。

地理环境与人口[edit]

据博雅地名网，街道辖区面积约12.45平方千米；2020年人口普查（七普）记录的人口为3.77万人，在龙湖区10个街道中居第8位[1]。街道所在的是韩江支流冲积形成的平原，新津河从辖区西侧流过：大衙村在韩江下游，位于原外砂镇最北端，三面临水[5]；华新村在新津河北岸[6]；南社村在新津河上游[7]。下蔡村和凤美村靠近汕头外砂机场，国道324线经过下蔡村[1]。

村落与地名[edit]

街道各村的名称多有来历，不少是在原名上“去俗取雅”改成：横窖改称凤窖，沙尾改称凤美，夹在两村之间的犁头改称龙头，寓意“双凤戏龙珠”[8]。华埠村原名下埔，华新村则是从下埔分出的新乡[6][9]。

多个村的先民自福建莆田迁来，如凤窖、华埠、凤美等村的陈姓；大衙村则有蔡、蓝二姓，据《驿道乡情》，该村是外砂最早形成的村落[5][2]。

经济[edit]

街道内的村庄传统上以农业和手工织席为主，龙头村在解放初期以织草席著称；改革开放后，毛织、服装、印刷包装和农副产品加工陆续兴起[8][7]。大衙村自1960年起是汕头市的蔬菜生产基地[5]，华埠村在2020年至2022年连续三年入选淘宝村名单[10]。

名胜古迹[edit]

街道内的古建筑主要集中在大衙村，现存蔡氏家庙、蓝氏大宗祠、天后宫、上帝古庙等[5]；大衙渡口一带为古驿道遗迹[11]。凤窖村有宗祠十余座和妈祖宫[2]。
