历史沿革[edit]
相传明永乐年间，福建莆田的陈姓辗转迁来定居，到嘉靖年间已形成村落。村子坐落在新津河出海口东岸，原是海滩冲积的低洼沙洲，起初叫下浦，写作下埔，后来雅化为华埔[2]。1958年村子一分为二，老乡一半称华老，1984年因“埔”与“埠”相通，改称华埠[2][1]。华新村即由其中的新乡发展而来。
人口与经济[edit]
百度百科记载该村户籍人口7753人，约1610户，经济以农业为主[1]。2020年至2022年，华埠村连续三年入选淘宝村名单[1]。村内有华埠小学和谢易初中学[1]。
