历史沿革[edit]
传说村子由福建莆田的陈姓迁来开创。因处在外砂沙陇的尽头，旧称沙尾，明嘉靖年间的《潮州府志》已有记载；后来因地形像一只飞凤，改名凤美[2]。2003年该村划入龙湖区管辖；百度百科称，2019年区划调整中，它先后归属外砂街道和龙华街道[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
据百度百科，记载的户籍人口为1245人，农业人口占其中1175人；地势中间高、南北低，靠近国道324线和汕汾高速公路。产业涉及农业、毛织、织席和玩具制造[1]。
文化[edit]
凤美织席技艺被列入广东省非物质文化遗产名录，村里曾在2025年修复以此为题的文化墙绘[1]。该村在2021年进入广东省民主法治示范村的创建名单[1]。
