沙坪镇是广东省韶关市乐昌市西南部的镇，因镇政府设在沙坪村而得名，下辖茶园、关山、雷家窝、马子坪、沙坪、山坪、柘洞7个行政村。[1]1961年自大山公社分出，设沙坪公社，1993年改为镇。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国年间，沙坪属乳源县，在第二区范围内。1949年冬，归乳源县第三区的西山乡；1952年6月，改隶乐昌县第七区（梅花）；1953年4月，复由乳源县第三区管辖。[1]

1958年冬，这里回到乐昌县治下，同大桥乡并成大山公社。到1961年4月，沙坪一带又从中划出，单设公社。其后体制几经更替：1983年10月改区，1986年11月改乡，1993年6月升格为镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

沙坪镇在乐昌市境西南部。博雅地名网载其辖区面积约101.8平方千米，镇政府距乐昌市政府所在地约31千米（该站转引的旧版区划资料）。[1]韶关市政府网站介绍乐昌市的城镇格局时，把沙坪镇列在以梅花镇为中心的北部片区之内。[2]

旧版区划资料称，镇内农业以苎麻、山棕、花生为主。[1]2021年9月，茶园村（辣椒）列入广东省农业农村厅公布的「第二批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」名单。[4]
