历史沿革[edit]
据地名资料，这里早年是锦江河边的一片河滩，泥沙淤积成平坦的沙地；后来河道改走他处，先民便在沙地上建房定居，渐成村落，村名即由沙滩地形而来。[1]
2019年9月，沙坪村列入2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
