官塘村属广州市增城区中新镇，是镇辖的行政村。博雅地名网所载村情记其面积15平方千米，耕地约1930亩，户籍人口2963人（763户），流动人口42人，下辖23个自然村、29个村民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村由“官山”和“罗塘”两个小村合并而成，各取一字，称“官塘”。[1]

官塘村的集体组织始于1956年成立的官塘高级农业生产合作社。两年后实行人民公社化，村隶属中新公社，当时的生产大队叫官塘大队；1959年福和从中新公社划出，村随之改属福和公社。1983年公社改区，大队改称乡，1987年撤乡设村、成立村民委员会，仍归福和镇管辖，2004年福和镇并入中新镇后改属中新镇。[1]

经济与设施[edit]

官塘村在福和圩西面约2公里处，坪中公路穿过村中心，通往从化和广州市花都区。[1]

官塘村以芦荟入选广东省农业农村厅2021年9月公布的第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单。[1]

著名人物[edit]

黄花岗七十二烈士之一的郭继枚，籍贯是当时增城的福都，即今中新镇福和官塘村；他生于马来亚霹雳州的务边埠，1910年夏在当地加入同盟会。[2][3]

郭冠雄（1909—1999）是福和官塘村人，1937年回乡后，与李东林等人联络官塘、永兴等村的学校教师，组织起福和一带的民众抗日御敌队伍。[3]
