历史沿革[edit]
明代村民自南雄迁来，此地是平原，田里长满菱和莲，倒映在绥福河（西福河）中，景致优美，故名田美。[1]
田美的大队设在1958年人民公社成立时，隶属中新公社；1959年福和分出后改属福和公社，1983年大队改称乡，1987年设村民委员会，2004年随福和镇并入中新镇。[1]
经济与设施[edit]
村里有学校篮球场、13个垃圾池和一间100平方米的卫生站，农田硬底化、村道和水圳建设已有进展。[1]
