五联村属广州市增城区中新镇，是镇辖的行政村。博雅地名网所载村情记其面积16平方千米，耕地约3790亩，户籍人口3866人（862户），流动人口350人，下辖16个自然村、30个村民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

人民公社成立时，金星、明星、五一等五个高级社联合在一起，称“五联”。[1]

1953年土改时期，这一带属凤岗乡。五联村的集体组织始于1956年成立的五联高级农业生产合作社。两年后实行人民公社化，村隶属中新公社，当时的生产大队叫五联大队；1959年福和从中新公社划出，村随之改属福和公社。1983年公社改区，大队改称乡，1987年撤乡设村、成立村民委员会，仍归福和镇管辖，2004年福和镇并入中新镇后改属中新镇。[1]

经济与设施[edit]

村内设有“农家书屋”阅览室、电教室和健身娱乐室，并新建了一所小学。[1]

五联村以蔬菜入选广东省农业农村厅2021年9月公布的第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单。五联村被广东省乡村振兴局确定为2021年度乡村治理示范村创建单位，时间是2022年1月。[1]
