社岗村在炭步镇东南，南靠南海区，面积约2.26平方千米，下辖9个村民小组，有陆仕公路连接镇区。[1]明朝时大坳村民分迁至此，在小山岗上立村。[1]2020年8月，社岗村入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（水产品加工）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
相传古人立村先立社稷之坛，村又建在山岗上，故名社岗。1987年设村委会，隶属炭步区公所。[1]搜狐号文章还提到村有修筑红岗围的历史，以及民国年间修筑南花番联围。[2]
经济[edit]
村内台资的陆仕水产有限公司是广州市农业龙头企业。2023年8月，社岗村获2022年度「广州市美丽乡村」称号。[1]
著名人物[edit]
举人许坤（1889年中举）曾主讲香山书院，作有《厓门行》《虎门望海歌》；许锐洪、许锐光兄弟是珐琅工艺师。[2]
