村里土地由冲积形成，较为肥沃，海鸥公路是通往外界的主要公路；集体经济靠引进花卉种植和鱼塘养殖，形成花卉与名优水产养殖并行的格局[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2020年8月，沙北村列入首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单（草鱼）；2021年11月获2020年度「广州名村」称号[1]。
