赤岗村是广州市番禺区石楼镇下辖的行政村，位于市莲路旁，面积约2平方千米，总人口1700多人，距镇城区仅半公里，村名来自一座荒芜的山岗[1]。
地名由来与沿革[edit]
「赤」有赤裸、荒芜之意，村依荒芜的山岗而建，故名[1]。村子建于南宋嘉定十年（1217年），旧名赤岗，也叫赤山。1960年从赤山村分出，初称赤山一大队，后改乡，1987年才成立赤岗村民委员会[1]。
经济与荣誉[edit]
村集体引进红木厂、体育用品公司、电子厂和商业网点，工商业并举[1]。赤岗村在2020年、2021年、2022年列入淘宝村名单；2023年8月获评2022年度「广州市美丽乡村」，2026年1月成为广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村[1]。
区政府网站把赤岗村清颖历史街区列为石楼镇的历史街区之一[2]。
