居委会设于2003年3月。2010年10月起，番禺大桥两侧分属两个社区：星河湾东区社区与星河湾社区。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 获认定为「2024年广州市高质量就业社区（村）」（2024年11月）。[1]
  • 获确定为「2021年度全国综合减灾示范社区」（2022年11月）。[1]
  • 获确定为「广州市2021年绿色社区」，由广州市住房和城乡建设局于2021年11月公布。[1]
  • 街道称它获评省、市民族团结进步模范社区。[2]
  • 列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单（2019年9月公布）。[1]
