历史沿革[edit]
相传北宋咸平年间（约1000年），李氏家族在此定居建村，名李村；后来别姓居民陆续迁入，改称礼村。1987年起设村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
博雅地名网转录的村情资料（未注明年份）记载：耕地200亩，人口2065人，种植以蔬菜为主；工业企业共84家，工业产值1.78亿元。[1]
荣誉[edit]
- 阿里研究院等机构发布的「2020年淘宝村」「2021年淘宝村」「2022年淘宝村」名单中均有该村。[1]
- 获认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」（2024年11月）。[1]
- 列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单（2019年9月公布）。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
该祠又称翠筠高公祠，堂号为绎恩堂，位于礼村，为第九批广州市文物保护单位。祠堂保留明代建筑风格，木雕、砖雕、石雕和灰塑保存较好；大革命时期这里曾作为中共番禺第二党支部的活动场所，用于发展党员、训练农民自卫军。[2]
村内的朱砂泉和沙井泉，在史料中有名气。[3]
著名人物[edit]
- 高擎天（原名高冠岳）：礼村人，早年在广州、香港的茶居当工人，1926年加入中国共产党，同年回乡成立礼村农民协会和农民自卫军，1928年与妻子黄秀珍被捕遇害。[3]
