东联之名出现于1952年。1987年起设村民委员会。[1]

博雅地名网转录的村情资料（未注明年份）记载：村位于大石中心地带，村内有105国道、朝阳路、城西路和岗东路交会，人口1869人，已无耕地，靠开发村级工业区出租土地和厂房，有工业企业35家。2001年，村下属三级的工业产值为1.009亿元。[1]
