坑头村旧称「中龙」，位于县域西部山区，海拔750米，距城关约29公里。村名取自村庄建于山坑上游。[1][2]

村情[edit]

全村371户1122人，辖6个自然村，村民委员会设于坑头村。村民以卓姓为主，另有张、王、魏等姓。村民收入以渔、木、果为主，包括板栗、中药材种植和淡水鱼养殖。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内有卓氏宗祠、拓主殿、龙兴寺等古建筑，明清古民居近50座。有伍佰寨、伍佰溪、火烧漈瀑布等自然景观。[1]

革命历史[edit]

坑头为革命老区村。闽东、闽北的独立师曾在坑头一带活动。村中近30名青壮年参加过革命，现存战役遗址2处和红军烈士墓3穴。[1]
