横山村在古田县东部，离杉洋镇政府14公里。其东侧与坂斗、岭里两村相接，西侧是鹤塘镇，北面连着楼下村，南面与东双村毗邻。博雅地名网记全村1547人、447户，下辖3个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名原作“岐山”，因与“旗山”音同而改为今名。[1]

1949年横山隶属杉洋区；1958年成为杉洋公社的横山大队；1984年改设杉洋镇横山村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中有一处古建筑“横山水尾游亭”，博雅地名网记其距今约800多年；横山大厝后峰顶保存古游亭2座。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村庄四周环山，山地有上万亩，气温较暖，茶园成片分布，属杉洋的茶叶产地之一。[1]
