西门村在镇区西北部，下辖南湾、半岭、东岭和西岭四个自然村。常住人口约1200人；全村737户，共2334人。村民收入多来自弹跳鱼、七都蛶、紫菜的养殖，以及海蛏、茶叶、果树的种植和外出务工。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名取自所处位置，据博雅地名网，因在城区西边而得名。[2]

1958年设西门生产大队，1984年改为西门村，同时设立村民委员会。[2]

2021年11月，村获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[2]
