横坑村位于林坊镇西部，地形为丘陵，村后有省道204线经过，是县里规划的工业园区之一。[1]90年代，村子曾是连城县的生猪基地，如今村民种植葡萄、毛豆、地瓜等作物。[2]

地名与沿革[edit]

此地山坑横在房屋门前，故称横坑。[1]1993年归林坊乡，2016年改属林坊镇，1984年时属文川乡横坑村，1958年属超美公社横坑大队，此前宋代属南顺里，1949年初归附城区管辖。[1]

人口[edit]

村落面积约1.2平方公里。[1]全村152户，6个村民小组，共662人。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中留有清代古建筑十余座，包括祠堂、古井、古炮楼，以及有数百年历史的村界石碑。[2]

人物与历史[edit]

始祖魏贵仁在1486年由山东迁入福建，落脚于大西坑一带。[2]清代嘉庆年间，村里有一位武举人名叫魏光林。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2023年6月，横坑村被认定为「连城县2023年县级“一村一品”专业村」，主导产业为巨峰葡萄。[1]
