地名由来[edit]

村子由项姓开基，地形像鸡笼，属山地，原名鸡笼山。清光绪年间村中盛产纸，纸远销广东。因“鸡笼”之名不雅，改称金龙。这一名字的用意，是把村子看作龙身，龙头在云仙岩，龙尾在八仙岩，水竹洋一带是龙珠；龙珠难得，珍贵如金。[1]
