横坑村是童坊镇下辖的行政村。村名因村落呈东西向横卧于山坑之间，故称横坑。[1]

人口与地理[edit]

村内有5个村民小组，其中自然村3个。现有人口830人（据博雅地名网，年份未注）。耕地406亩，其中水田200亩；山林总面积10965亩，竹林6750亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前属童坊区林田乡。1957年撤区并乡后仍归林田乡。1958年公社化后隶属童坊公社。1961年成立新桥工委，设立横坑大队；1984年隶属童坊乡，改为横坑村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

横坑村先后被命名为「2020年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」和「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」，命名时间依次为2021年1月和2024年1月。[1]
