横坑村位于邵武市西南部，东北与泰宁县上青乡相接，西南与江西省黎川县熊村镇相邻，西北与余山村、大岭村连接。村部距市区82公里，距乡所在地19公里。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名原作嵘衢坊，因山势峥嵘而得名；后称邵武四十一都，民国时改称横坑。另有一说，村中有一条坑，故名横坑。[1][2]

元代这里属四十一都。解放初归肖家坊6区公所管理，并与大岭村合起来称大横乡；1957年改设横坑乡；1961年脱离肖家坊，另组横坑大队，隶属桂林人民公社；1984年改称横坑村。[2]

地理环境[edit]

境内有5条小溪，各自发源于不同的村民小组。横坑溪与大放溪在村内汇合，经王家坊流向余山村一带。[2]

村内最高点为上放，海拔720米；最低点为王家坊，海拔650米。[2]

经济[edit]

耕地合计2035亩，水田面积1515亩，另有旱地520亩；林地3.2万亩，竹林1.8万亩。粮食作物以水稻为主，主要经济作物为烟叶与蔬菜。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内保留明清时期的古民居60多座，均为青砖瓦房。大门与厅门以石条为框，门框上有松鹤、祥云浮雕，厅内壁画色彩犹存。[1][2]

村中的横坑摩崖石刻与横坑黄氏家庙，皆为清代遗存，博雅地名网记为县级文物保护单位。[3]

博雅地名网称「福云寺」为市级文物保护单位，该寺始建于明万历年间中晚期，1972年寺庙毁坏，1983年村民重建。[2]

文化[edit]

2015年10月，本村被收入「福建省第一批省级传统村落」；2016年12月，又列入第四批中国传统村落名录。[1]

据博雅地名网，2019年6月，福建省人民政府把本村认定为「第六批福建省历史文化名镇名村」。[1]
