横坑村是政和县岭腰乡下辖的行政村，属革命老区基点村，与长垅、西坑、前溪、高山、锦屏、岭腰等村相邻。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村落坐落在山谷之中，因此得名横坑。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国29年（1940年）置横坑保，归遂应场乡。1970年此地成立横坑大队，归铁山公社管辖。1984年改为行政村，并设村委。1997年铁山七村析出组成岭腰乡，横坑村随之划入。[1]

经济[edit]

竹业在村里居主导地位；县林业局的竹产业试验林场就设在横坑，村内另有竹加工企业。[1]

文化[edit]

2003年，县林业局授予横坑村「林业明星村」称号；2017年8月，横坑村列入福建省第二批省级传统村落名录。[1]
