山下村是浦城县山下乡的行政村，村名因在乌龟山下而得。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期已属山下乡。建国后村子曾分属县内第四、第五区，并在1956年划入临江区。1958年设山下大队，隶属临江公社；1961年改属山下公社；1984年改设山下村村民委员会，仍归山下乡。[1][2]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名该村为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2022年10月，该村入选「2022年度南平市绿盈乡村中级版村庄」名单。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村中有山下老街与新街两条街道。农历每月三、八日设圩，农副产品交易较为集中。[1]

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，山场合计8400多亩，其中毛竹山场2300亩，杉树与茶树6100多亩；水稻种植面积1332亩，耕地总计1517亩。村中以毛竹、杉树为主要林产，并有矿产资源。[2]
