龙头村处于安厚镇的东南段，三合溪自西侧经过，离镇政府4公里，下辖4个自然村、9个村民小组。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村庄地形似一条龙，位于山垄的头部。闽南话里“龙”与“垄”读音相近，村因此称龙头。[1]

1958年起为安厚公社的龙头大队，1984年改为龙头村委会。1950年属第五区美峰乡，1945年为平南乡龙峰保。[1]

2025年11月，龙头村入选「2025年漳州市乡村“五个美丽”建设工作成效突出村」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

全村面积3.34平方千米，其中水田520亩，山地3860亩。东与汤厝村隔溪相望，北与龙门村以鸽溪道为界。[1]
