西门社区位于南诏镇中心区，名称源自辖区所在的西门一带。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前辖区归中山镇管辖，编成三保九甲社，即宪伯、魁楼、阳光三保。解放后这里叫一街，下分三片。[1]

文革时改成“五·七”大队，1979年10月又回到一街居委会的建制，1981年命名西门街，2003年才定为西门社区。[1]

辖区内的徐余涂聚德堂、西门吴氏大宗和陈元光纪念馆，均为清代建筑；博雅地名网称2013年4月三者被县里认定为县级文物，并属当年的第十四批公布名单。[1]
