坑头村位于向阳乡西南部，离乡政府驻地约1.6公里，地处寨仔尖山北麓的丘陵谷地。[1]村名得自驻地的坑头自然村，那里位于山坑的低洼处。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期叫坑头保，新中国成立以后归帽山乡。1956年组建联星农业社，1958年公社化时改为坑头大队，1984年设坑头村委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村中有坑头、厅前、大岸、肥猪脚、尾厝五个自然村，村民小组计10个。[1]

经济[edit]

村民主要种植水稻和甘薯，耕地544亩、山地2529亩。林果有杉木、松木、柑桔、李子和茶叶，土特产为佛手果。[1]

文化[edit]

2020年12月，坑头村被列入「2020年福建省森林村庄」名单。2021年12月，坑头村获定为福建省第二批「高级版绿盈乡村」（乡镇）。2022年10月，福建省农业农村厅把坑头村列入「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。福建省爱国卫生运动委员会在2022年12月授予坑头村「2022年福建省卫生村」称号。2024年1月，坑头村上榜「2023年度南安市和谐村（社区）」名单。[1]
