地名由来[edit]

村民住在东门云东一带的最前端，因此称东头。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子始建于元朝元统元年（1333年），原名武荣钦风里；明初称白石，后改称碧石。清代与民国时统归南邑三十五都，民国时又分为东前保与东后保。新中国成立后并为东头乡，1958年设东头大队，1984年改为东头村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

村内山地上的石料开采与加工是一项主要副业。[1]
