全村面积2.2平方千米，属潭江冲积平原，耕地1970亩，村民以耕种和外出经商、务工为生。村里办有农场，鱼塘约350亩，规划发展观光、休闲的现代农业基地。[1]
地名由来[edit]
据说船头石一带两侧河道迂回，中间的土地形如「王」字，被视为龙脉，村名由此而来。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，石海村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
