据博雅地名网所载，黄姓先祖由漳浦县畚箕湖迁入此地；明代，漳州、漳浦湖西六图（今湖西乡）的村民也迁居于此，在这里开拓耕耘 [1]。2020年7月，此地改为参内镇坑头村村民委员会 [1]。村民主要为黄姓 [1]。

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，村子被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」；同年11月，又被确定为2022年泉州市中级版「绿盈乡村」 [1]。
