横山村位于湖头镇。村子古称「湖山」，因在湖头镇之山下，后称「恒产」，又因方言谐音改称「横山」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属感化里。民国35年（1946年）置清溪镇横山保；1952年归第四区横山乡。1958年划归湖头公社，并组建横山大队。1984年，此地更名为湖头镇横山村，村委会同时设立。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，村被认定为泉州市中级版「绿盈乡村」。2022年1月，村被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。2022年10月，村入选第二批「福建省乡村治理示范村镇」名单，由省农业农村厅认定。[1]
