龙头村位于建宁县均口镇的南端，与宁化县的安远乡相连。村内有省道205线经过，离均口镇约8.6公里。[1][2]

「2021年福建省卫生村」称号于2021年11月授予本村；2024年7月，村庄被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子处在山脉如龙的走势之首，因而得名「龙头」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1997年撤乡并镇，村归均口镇。[1]

1984年改为村民委员会，1968年设龙头大队革命领导小组，1958年改称生产大队，1956年改为乡人民委员会，1950年设龙头乡人民政府，隶属第三区。解放前属宁安乡的龙头保。[1]

宋元时此地属南乡赤下保，明洪武初改属南区饶村保。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以种植烟叶、水稻、黄花梨为主，也有不少人外出务工。[1]
