西门社区位于尤溪县城关镇城区西部，南临青印溪，北靠大埔山。[1]

社区于1999年6月设立，位置在城区西部。[1]

2005年至2009年间，社区先后获评「全省企业退休人员社会化管理达标单位」，获三明市授予「2003-2005年度文明社区」，获县委授予「2006-2008年度先进基层党组织」，获县综治委授予「2005年度平安建设先进单位」，并获镇党委授予「2006年度社区建设先进单位」称号。[1]
