长坑村在大田县梅山镇西北部，东侧与长津村交界，南侧与高泉村毗邻，西侧与西坑、西书两村接壤。[2]

村子由下坑、旧坑、际头坑、后泽四个自然村构成。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明代此地属大田三十都，1940年归第二区，1950年2月改属第五区。[1]

1958年为龙口公社下的长坑大队，1971年回归梅山公社；1984年设梅山乡长坑村村民委员会。2018年，梅山乡撤销改镇，村委会更名为梅山镇长坑村村民委员会。[1]

产业[edit]

村民以种植业为主，种木薯、生姜和辣椒，辣椒是村里的一大特色，外出务工也是重要的收入来源。[2]

村中有机种植的“福梅金姜”辣味适中，销往泉州、厦门及省外。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，长坑村获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2024年7月，长坑村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同年又被确定为「2021—2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
