石下村是湖村镇下辖的行政村。2021年11月，石下村获评2021年福建省卫生村。[1]

在2023年度三明市达标「六无」村（社区）名单中，石下村于2024年7月公布入列。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名因坐落于石山之下而得名。[1]

明清时期属泉上里，民国时属湖峰乡石下保。1950年后先后隶属第四区、第十区，1956年并入湖村乡，1958年设石下大队，1966年一度改名红岩大队，1974年复名，1984年改设石下村。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

石下红军烈士墓于1999年4月建成，把多处掩埋的烈士遗骸迁来集中安葬，墓中有红军战士、游击队员和苏区干部。[2]

田螺寨红军兵工厂遗址在本村，为县级文物保护单位。[1]
