上塘社区位于东峤镇中部，沿笏埭公路分布。社区内的上塘珠宝城是金银、珠宝首饰加工和批发的特色工业园区，有加工企业和商铺多家。[1]

经济[edit]

上世纪90年代起，村内的金银珠宝加工逐渐形成规模，产品远销欧美、东南亚等二十多个国家和地区。[2]

文化[edit]

上塘于2008年9月8日获中国工艺美术协会授予「中国银饰之乡」称号。[2]

2020年11月，上塘社区被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」；2023年12月，被认定为「2023年度福建省一村一品专业村」（银饰加工）。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区在1958年曾为东峤公社的上塘大队，1984年称东峤乡上塘村，1985年起归东峤镇。社区居民委员会于2019年1月8日成立，隶秀屿区东峤镇。[1]
