龙头社区是鼓浪屿街道下辖的社区，位于岛的东部，社区居委会设在岛上的繁华街区，四界大致为东边到皓月园，西边到英雄山，北边临轮渡广场，南边到观海园，面积约0.9平方千米。社区因辖内的龙头山和龙头路得名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1945年8月起划归鼓浪屿区管辖。1947年，这一带划为六个保；1950年废除保甲制，改设六个街公所，1951年并为两个街政委员会。[3]

1955年改为街道，下设六个居委会；1958年成立鼓浪屿人民公社，下设六个分社；1964年分社改回居委会。1966年，这里一度改称红星居委会。[3]

1968年，鼓浪屿人民公社分设为两个街道，本社区是其中之一。2001年8月，原有居委会整合为三个社区，2003年再整合为龙头社区。[3]

人口与单位[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区登记常住居民6013人，此外有暂住人口2573人；辖区内驻有海底世界、音乐学校、国家海洋预报台等近70家单位。[1][2]

风貌建筑[edit]

辖区内中西合璧的风貌建筑较多，其中有林语堂故居、诗人舒婷的旧居，以及解放前设立的日本领事馆旧址。[1][2]

社区荣誉[edit]

2003年以来，社区先后获得「厦门市社区建设示范社区」「厦门市文明安全社区」「福建省绿色社区」「全国绿色社区创建活动先进社区」等称号。[2]

2021年2月，社区列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；2025年12月，又上榜「2025年福建省儿童友好社区」名单。[1]
