赤岭村位于盖洋乡西部，全村辖6个生产组，村中有闇亭寺。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子所在的山岭原名斜岭，因方言中「斜」与「赤」读音相近，改称赤岭。[1]

清代本地属和平乡应达里三十六都，1950年至1951年划为六区管辖。1958年，它成为嵩口公社盖洋管理区的赤岭生产大队；1961年改属盖洋人民公社；1984年设赤岭村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

闇亭寺位于本村，始建于清康熙二年（1663年），2018年公布为福建省文物保护单位。寺院的详情见盖洋乡条目。[1][2]
