红花村属茂名市电白区旦场镇，是镇辖的行政村，坐落在镇域东南部^[1]。博雅地名网记载其下设10个村民小组，登记998户，人口4736，辖区面积11.38平方公里，另有4378亩耕地^[1]。

1953年这里建乡，1958年改编为生产大队，1983年复称乡，1987年称村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年又改回村委会，名称一直用到现在^[1]。

据该页介绍，村内年均气温约22摄氏度，年降水量2200毫米上下；种植的作物主要是荔枝、龙眼、花生、水稻、红薯等^[1]。突出的收入项目为荔枝、龙眼、花生、蔬菜和劳务输出，上一年全村农村经济总收入记为1502万元^[1]。

2021年12月被广东省爱卫会授予2021年广东省卫生村称号^[1]。
