禾村在黄槐镇，别名三溪，因宝龙、黄槐、双下三条溪水在此汇合而得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立后，1955年成立初级社时，这里属黄陂区黄北乡；现今的西埔一、西埔二和禾村三地当时各有合作社（西布、星光、三溪），合称黄陂区禾村乡。[1]1958年建人民公社，改称禾村大队，西埔一、西埔二的辖地也在其内；1975年西埔另分出大队；1984至1986年是禾村乡，到1999年设村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
丝苗米是禾村的特色产业，2020年8月它进了省农业农村厅首批专业村名单；2021年12月获省爱卫会授予卫生村称号；2026年1月，列入第二批“百千万工程”典型村。[1]
