历史沿革[edit]
流传的说法是，约一千年前有位潮州的进士进京途经此地，遇见一位老人，老人请他给这地方取名；进士见两岸翠竹倒映河中，溪水清澈不断，便定名清溪。[1]
1949年建立清溪乡，1958年改为清溪大队，1984年后称清溪管理区，1999年起称清溪村委会。[1]
近年的荣誉：2017年10月，获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予的第一批广东省卫生村称号；2023年2月，获评2022年度五华县文明村镇。[1]
